MIGUEL SANTIAGO WINERY
MIGUEL SANTIAGO WINERY
Miguel Santiago is a family winery founded by Miguel Santiago in 2011 in Cadalso de los Vidrios, at the feet of Sierra de Gredos, Madrid. They are the owners of 20 hectares of old vineyards of granitic and sand soils of low fertility at 800 metres of altitude in the municipalities of Cadalso de los Vidrios and San Martin de Valdeiglesias with a continental climate. Of which they take care Miguel Santiago father and his son, who are in charge of the winery which inherited the vineyards from its ancestors. They work with the white grape Albillo Real, autochtonous from Madrid, and the red grape Grenache, under the Appellation of Origin Vinos de Madrid - Wines from Madrid in the area of San Martín de Valdeiglesias. They make the wines Cabrito Blanco with the grape Albillo Real, Cabrito Tinto y Alto de Valdehornos, the last two with the grape Grenache. They work in a natural way to reflect the land and the plots where the grapes come from, so they work the vineyards manually with horses.
