SINFORIANO WINERIES
SINFORIANO WINERIES
Sinforiano Wineries was set up in 1966 when Sinforiano Vaquero and Daniela Gomez decided to carry on the family tradition. The winery is located in Mucientes, Valladolid, Castille and Leon. At the beginning they had a small number of vines and an old underground cellar with concrete tanks. With hard work and illusion they have grown into a vineyard that covers 70 Hectares and a modern cellar equipped with the latest technology and with a capacity of 700 tonnes of grapes, with the refurbishing and construction of a modern winery, equipped with the latest technology, keeping a respectful and sustainable viticulture, together with a traditional wine making style. Today the winery is managed by Sinforiano´s sons in charge of the vineyard and of the winemaking with the philosophy of getting the best and the maximum expression from the vineyard, together with determination and enthusiasm. The vines are grown in the Pisuerga valley and on the hillsides of the Montes de Torozos at an altitude of 740 metres. The soil is composed of a deep layer of clay-limestone. The climate is continental with wide temperature ranges during both the day and night throughout the year with an atlantic influence. In 2016 Sinforiano Wineries celebrated the 50th anniversary, and makes among other the wine Quelías Rosé, rosé with the white grape varieties Albillo and Verdejo, and the red ones Tempranillo and Garnacha, under the Appellation of Origin Cigales.
