The history of the Pazo Tizón vineyards started in the Middle Age, under the eclesiastic power of the Sobrado dos Monxes Monastery. Towards the Modern Age, the Tizón family started to be a key figure in the activity of the zone, leaving the clero in a second level. The Tizón family created a family model of aristocrats dedicated to the world of wine. At the end of the XVIII century the Pazo (country house) was built, the current location of the winery Pazo Tizón, it was declared historic and artistic monument in 1946, all of them integrated in a beautiful landscape of vineyards, surrounded by the monumentality of the combination that forms the estate. The winery Pazo Tizón started in Moldes its trajectory in 2001, as the owner Pedro Paz decided starting with this project due to its proximity to the viticulture in his life. The first vintage in the market was 2005. Pazo Tizon Winery makes the white wine Pazo Tizon Extramundi with the grapes Albariño, Treixadura, Godello and Loureira in Moldes, the interior of Galicia under the Appellation of Origin Ribeiro.
